Congratulations to Chan Young on successfully defending his M.S. thesis on May 27, 2026!
In his thesis, Chan Young investigated how polygenic risk scores (PRSs) integrated with transcriptomic and epigenomic information can be used to better understand the clinical heterogeneity of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). His work demonstrated the importance of immune-related tissues in SLE susceptibility and highlighted the value of pathway-level genetic analyses for characterizing diverse clinical manifestations of the disease.
The defense committee consisted of Prof. Kwoneel Kim, Prof. Jin-Woo Bae, and Kwangwoo. We congratulate Chan Young on this important milestone and wish him continued success in his future career.
